This series will offer contemplative and meditations practices for those who are looking to deepen their spiritual practice. We will be learning to cultivate skillful intentions and actions of generosity, truthfulness and equanimity. These qualities when developed lead to contentment, peace and happiness.
Each session will include guided meditations, instructive talks, group discussion, interactive mindfulness activities and written homework suggestions.
The May 6th session will focus on Truthfulness: Clear Awareness and Deep Honesty.
When we check out the nature of our thoughts, attitudes and biases through introspection and meditation, we begin to get a feel for the pressure that our preferences and expectations create; and also, how to get free of that. Clear awareness and deep honesty dispel the confusion and ignorance that make us feel insecure and fearful.
