Tara Mandala Green Tara Retreat  June 23-25, 2017 with Lopön Charlotte Rotterdam

Hosted by Chattanooga Tara Mandala Sangha

Join us to embody Green Tara, the female Buddha of compassion, who provides protection from fears and obstacles. She sits with one foot in the meditative posture and one foot in the world, thus embodying active compassion and serving as a model for modern day contemplative life. In this retreat, you will learn the Green Tara practice from the Luminous Secret Vajra Treasury, a treasure cycle of Adzom Drukpa. No previous experience of Buddhism or meditation is required to attend.

This retreat will be offered by Lopön Charlotte Rotterdam who was authorized to teach by Lama Tsultrim Allione in 2006. She teaches meditation and Buddhist practices in the US and abroad, and served as Executive Co-Director and Board member of Tara Mandala Buddhist Retreat Center. Together with her husband she leads the Boulder Tara Mandala Sangha. Charlotte received her Masters from Harvard Divinity School and is an Instructor and Director of the Center for the Advancement of Contemplative Education at Naropa University. In 2016 she received the title of Magyu Lopön, leader of Magyu: The Mother Lineage at Tara Mandala by Lama Tsultrim.
