Middle School can be a wild and wacky time - body changes, friend changes, and intense emotions. For sensitive kids, perfectionists, worriers, or those who struggle with attention, it can be a lot to learn to deal with! Especially designed with the tween and early teen in mind, this class will equip them with knowledge about  how their minds work and teach some fundamentals of attention, mindfulness and more!

The curriculum of this class series will include movement, breath work, learning about how the brain works, self-reflection, and emotion/thought process information. There will be a weekly "homework assignment" for each attendee that will be different activities to support the teachings of the class. 

This class is for 6th-8th graders and is a 4 week series focusing on mindfulness for middle schoolers.

Led by Beth Vandergraph.

Beth Vandergraph is both a student and an educator of children.  She has worked with children professionally in a wide array of settings for 25 years, including a decade teaching in public schools. Using her own years of varied mindfulness practices as a guide, Beth has designed and implemented mindfulness programming for children since 2015. She enjoys the curiosity and creativity of middle schoolers.
