This class is designed to give the curious, or even slightly skeptical a basic understanding of what this word 'mindfulness' means and how being mindful benefits us; although designed for someone who has no experience with mindfulness, it is a great refresher class if you have been away from the practice for awhile and want to renew your resolve.

The class will also allow the participant an opportunity to try a few different types of mindfulness enhancing activities. Led by Yong Oh, an experienced mindfulness and meditation teacher, the class will be a mix of discussion and experiential activities in a relaxed and no-pressure environment.

Yong Oh has studied Soto Zen and Vipassana with various teachers, including his primary teachers Kittisaro and Thanissara, since 2006. He is an acupuncturist, a mindfulness/meditation teacher, a mindfulness coach on the 10% Happier app, and a graduate of Spirit Rock's Community Dharma Leaders Program. He is currently a participant in the 2017-2021 Insight Meditation Society Teacher Training Program.
