New for 2018!  Center for Mindful Living will be offering a mostly monthly book study! Titles are being selected to inspire us to connect with one another and think more deeply about the issues that really matter - how we understand and treat ourselves, one another and the world.

We will meet on a Friday at 5:30PM for a beverage and a kick off one hour conversation. Then we will reconvene 10 days later, on a Sunday from 4PM to 6PM to take a deeper dive. Members can attend for free, non-members are asked a small registration fee (only $5!) to cover the cost of beverages. This month's book will be available for purchase on Friday night at the Center compliments of Starline books - thanks, Starline! So join with other thoughtful folks for one or all of them, it promises to be an uplifting, good time.

Our first book is the Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World - conversation facilitated by Kathleen Crevasse. We will kick off on February 16th at 5:30PM for a glass of wine or cup of tea and introduction of the topic, then reconvene on the 25th from 4PM - 6PM for a deeper dive. Here is a bit more about the book:

Nobel Peace Prize Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu have survived more than fifty years of exile and the soul-crushing violence of oppression. Despite their hardships—or, as they would say, because of them—they are two of the most joyful people on the planet. This book explores that seemingly dichotomy and gives us some ideas for how we can apply these same practices to our own lives, so that we too can experience Joy!
